Adam planned the perfect weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We spent it in Tuscany (or Toscana, if you prefer).
We stayed in a town just southeast of Pisa called Fauglia (pronounced Fow-lea).
Using one of our favorite travel sites vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner) we stayed on an amazing property. The property has a large farmhouse that currently houses three apartments (one of which the owners live in) and is being renovated to include many more apartments, an orangeria, and a chapel that dates back to the 16th century. We stayed in the lower level of the chapel. It was beautiful.

The door to our bathroom was made entirely of stained glass.

After arriving and getting a tour of the property, we headed off to a vineyard in a neighboring town of Cenaia (pronounced Chen-aya). We met some great people and had a few glasses of wine.
After sampling wine, we drove back to Fauglia and took a stroll through town to find a great restaurant for dinner.
